HGH and Hair Growth
We know that hormones and metabolism regulate hair growth, so anything that affects hormones and metabolism affects hair loss. However, by examining in detail the nature of HGH, we now know that HGH is not harmful to your hair and there are several reasons behind this.
HGH Does Not Cause Hair Loss
The growth hormone does not cause hair loss; in fact, it stimulates hair growth. Hair loss happens when the hair root undergoes destruction, when physical or mechanical forces harm the hair, or when the hair doesn’t receive the essential growth factors.HGH is an anabolic hormone, signifying that it builds up rather than breaks down. HGH builds and repairs tissues and thus has an effect on hair cells at the hair root to promote healthy hair growth. The growth hormone stimulates growth instead of hindering it. It enhances the growth of cells by binding directly to them with the use of special chemical messengers and receptors that stimulate the proliferation and growth of cells. This hormone also encourages the release of insulin-like growth factor or IGF-1. IGF-1 then encourages the growth and development of cells and tissues in the body. Thus, these two mechanisms act together to form new hair cells in order to grow hair, instead of killing hair.
HGH Does not Hinder Hair Growth
As said before, hair loss is caused by hindering hair growth or deprivation of growth factors. The reverse is true for HGH. This hormone makes the body release the building blocks of tissues and cells in the form of amino acids and proteins. It also stimulates the production of secondary messengers that stimulate the production of growth factors, amino acids, and nutrients and these serve as raw materials for the growth of hair from the hair follicles. Because HGH releases more proteins for the creation and growth of hair, this leads to healthier hair which is less likely to get damaged easily and thus you will not lose your hair easily as a result.
